goals, habits
Have you ever felt overwhelmed with all the tasks you have for the day, the weeks ahead or even the months? Nowadays, the everyday life is a challenge for every one of us. New tasks, more tasks, job, social media, hobbies, TV, chores and so on, can put a huge pressure on us. The problem is that it’s so easy to accept all these tasks that we often forget that most of the times it’s up to us to say no. We accept more than we actually have time to complete, and the feeling of not having time to do all that we want to do is a huge stress factor in our lives. We need to take a moment to reflect on what’s going on, to quiet the voices…

Goal tracking apps

goals, habits
I’ve been keeping track of my goals on paper using a monthly habit tracker to make sure every goal I’ve set, every habit I’ve been trying to implement in order to achieve my monthly goals are achieved and the results have varied from month to month, partly because of the type of goals and partly because I’ve had a hard time having that sheet in front of me enough time to make sure I do everything that I want to do on my list. It’s also possible that I’ve set too many goals or that I've wanted to implement too many new habits at the time and that’s what I try to avoid. One should set enough goals to challenge one’s every day life yet not too many or too…

Pre-Fall – New beginnings

Pre-Fall – New beginnings

goals
We are already one week into the new month and today it’s my first day at work. July has passed unbelievably fast but now I’m ready for a new work year. I actually love fall and I think it’s my favorite season. It’s always been because of the new beginnings that fall offers. Back in the days at school I had a new chance to do my best and I loved that feeling. Now it’s the same. I love revisiting my goals for the year, adjusting them if necessary and starting to work at achieving them. The July goals I’ve only had four goals for July so let’s take a look at how it went. Health/Fitness – Meditate regularly This goal seems to be one of my most difficult to…

June/July Goals

June/July Goals

goals
As the June month has come to its end, it's a good thing to review what has worked during the last month and what hasn't. Reviewing ones goals is an important part of the goal achieving process and it should be done often. The trends are easy to spot if you start looking for them early, after the goal setting process and it should be easy to correct the actions toward the goals when you see that something is going in the wrong direction. Ideally, the goals should be reviewed once or twice a day, preferably both in the morning and in the evening. Have I done that? Not really. It's so easy to know what to do, but if you don't have habits in place that make sure that…

Distractions

Distractions

goals
It's been almost a week since I posted my last blog post and life has been more or less chaotic, despite my attempts of planing towards my goals so let’s talk about distractions today. So, you’ve set your goals, you’ve made a plan, you’ve started your journey towards your goal, but something happens along the way. Something that seems more urgent, that you just need to take care of before you can go on with your day. Maybe it’s the phone that rings that leads you into a conversation, taking you away from continuing with your tasks. Or maybe you reach out to check facebook for an “important” update, or just any update. It could also be a TV show that you follow that is coming up in just ten…

Choosing goals

Choosing goals

goals, goalsetting
I was taking a walk the other day while thinking about goal setting. The subject is so diverse and close to me that I feel like I could write about this forever. Goals are part of my everyday life and while I'm not always reaching my goals, I love the process and I love getting better at both goal setting and at achieving them. One of this month's goals is to publish a compilation of short stories called “Cat Stories” that will contain six cat stories, several of them already published on Amazon. The series has grown bigger than I had anticipated and I now want to gather all these stories together. But then I have other goals for this month, like starting this blog and creating awesome content…
